Yes.
Very good.
I don't know.
Thank you.
Thank you.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Ha ha ha ha!
Thank you.
And as you all know, I think, wow, there's a new program, you know, to lift down these young people up, and people of other ages who want to come up here and be leaders, or government leaders, or private leaders, or anything like that.
And I think it's time that we get back to these young people, and I think now that we have, if they want the right to vote,
Well, if I ask the Congress, they may not follow this, but the Congress should.
That's what I'm waiting for.
I think they're on their knees.
I think they're on their knees.
I think they're on their knees.
I think they're on their knees.
I think they're on their knees.
I think they're on their knees.
you know, but also, you know, you know, you know,
I'd like to thank the Vice President of the State of the State Assembly.
As I, as the Vice President of the State of the State Assembly.
I would like to thank the Vice President of the State of the State Assembly.
I would like to thank the Vice President of the State of the State Assembly.
I would like to thank the Vice President of the State of the State Assembly.
If there is anything in this country that is without partisanship, whatever it is, we want no partisanship in it.
And we're not going to ask an individual when he wants to apply for action in this particular field, whether he has an R after his name or a D after his name or an I for independent after his name.
The only question is, does he want to help this country, does he want to help this country grow or improve?
And that's the reason we feel that this whole bipartisan approach, so well represented by Duke and the team, that is in the context of having the legislation, is so evident for this group.
As the first.
Truly a volunteer member of our community.
I'm not going to go on with my wife because you're not all here.
She just was out there.
We were down.
Yes.
That's not where you're going to take her again.
She's not going to like you.
We're going to take you.
We're going to take you.
We're going to take you.
Yes, I want to carry on with this here.
That's it.
And your cousin is going to announce also, I think.
first university year in action, where students take a full year in action service in their core communities and their cities and communities, and get full academic credit.
Three years of academic, one year of student service, leading to a degree.
Chancellor Barnard's challenge, University of Nebraska, where he first presented his plan, and we've got our first project ready to go in September of this year.
When does it just begin, sir?
September.
We'll have, uh... You're great at it.
I don't think there's a proper way to do it.
I mean, he's both talking and playing.
I don't know how that works.
I need you to give him a shot.
.
.
.
I remember when I was on that committee in the Senate, in the Senate, in the Senate, in the Senate, in the Senate, in the Senate,
I was on the committee in 1946 when it was first established, and I really had to take the committee down during the years since then.
I've stayed on the committee.
I still stayed on that committee because I recognized the charter of that committee was very important.
I feel I've made no mistake in staying on the committee.
You say it's very important.
Well, that's how he's been working me to death.
I can't keep up with the guy.
He's a great man.
I just had a little boy came up to you and said,
When you were telling Mr. Horton, I'm looking for him.
I'm looking for him.
Yeah.
And you said something about, what can I tell him?
He was asking, and he said...
that he was, oh, he made some comment about that I knew him pretty well.
He said he knew Jeff, his name was Jeff Murray.
He said he knew Jeff.
I didn't quite speak to him now.
Well, I'll tell you what happened.
His father died some years ago.
He was having pretty bad grades, and his grandfather was running up to the public market, and I got to talking with him up there, and I kind of helped him along the way with my studio, and his grades were improving, and one of those guys here,
You know, you get some of these things, and somebody walks up and says, hold on.
You know the car, and she says, I know them very well.
I know them certainly.
I think you should tell them.
I think you should tell them better than about me.
Oh, yes, this is another good story.
Yesterday, two black men.
And I asked Nick Craw if he was related to a Nick Craw who died in World War II.
And he said, yes, he's his father.
Well, Nick Craw, I was one of the men.
I was a company commander in the assault company that landed in Port Philly.
And Nick Craw volunteered to the group of frogmen up this river and cut the cable so we could get some boats out there to give us some support.
But he was killed in that endeavor and received a congressional medal of honor.
And so this young man is now in this operation.
His name will come to you in a while.
Great.
Let me say, too, that I want all of you, if you will, you and the Congress to be sure to support our volunteer action.
You see, the two of her were going to work hand in glove, but this will enable an awful lot of people, you know, who, frankly, either can't afford to or don't want to go to the government.
It allows that in a lot of times, in a large amount of people, you know, people who are, you know, got millions, millions of money.
There were two things, you know, asking some to carry us through a large march, and we did.
I told the chairman that this march in the House is very convincing.
and we hope we'll have the same thing in community development and natural resources in the next four bills come along.
But secondly, there's the next participation of volunteers, and this is a fairly convincing question.
He has switched, as he had promised me, in private meeting with the committee to give him an action, not getting the attention of a firm in the president's way, but instead his firm's main interest in kind of developing that conventional organization to build.
You all get me your secretaries or something.
I don't think.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Thank you, Mr. President.
I don't want any of you to...
I don't want any of you to...
I don't want any of you to...
like you said before.
Oh, yeah, great.
You never forget about it.
Talked about it earlier.
Now, you see, when we were in the city, I was looking at the drug thing, and I think, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,
So that's a group that we all are committed to working with.
Thank you.
Thank you all.
You get a burn.
I get a burn.
I get a burn.
It's easy to get a burn.
The Catholics get a burn.
Well, that's what they do.
They don't get a burn.
They get a turn.
Right?
We'll have this university program coming up in the fall, I think.
That's a very, I should have known about this.
A full year of services.
All right, good luck.
You know what?
I've spent the rest of your visit here on a date.
I don't think that's enough.
But I can't give it to you because it goes to seven.
Then good luck.
