Mailliard, William S.

William S. Mailliard was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives, representing San Francisco, California, throughout the Nixon administration's taping period. During this time, he was the ranking Republican member of the Foreign Affairs Committee and a senior member of the Merchant Marine and Fisheries Committee. He remained in his congressional seat until March 1974, when he resigned to accept an appointment from President Nixon.
