President Nixon met with Senator Robert A. Taft, Jr., Richard Dusterberg, and Mrs. Dusterberg for a brief ceremonial encounter in the Oval Office. The primary purpose of the visit was a gift exchange, during which the Dusterbergs presented the President with inaugural medals related to a collaborative publication project involving the Library of Congress and the National Archives.
