Cox, Tricia Nixon

Tricia Nixon Cox is the elder daughter of President Richard Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon, serving in the highly visible public role of First Daughter throughout his administration. During the White House taping period, she famously married Edward F. Cox in a widely publicized Rose Garden wedding ceremony in June 1971. Following her marriage, she moved out of the White House but continued to make public appearances and campaign on behalf of her father, including during his 1972 reelection effort.
