Brown, Robert J.

Robert J. Brown served as a Special Assistant to President Richard Nixon, a role he began in 1969. During the taping period, he focused on community relations and civil rights, and was instrumental in developing programs to support minority-owned businesses and historically black colleges. According to a UPI report and documents from the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library, Brown left his White House position in February 1973, with Stanley Scott succeeding him as the liaison for minority affairs.
